Free or Paid Paper Shredding on Veterans’ Day

Posted on 07 November 2013 by Total Secure Shredding

You have a choice this coming Monday (11/11/13), Veterans Day 2013…

You can go get your shredding done for FREE

You can Pay to have them shredded.

Seems like a simple choice doesn’t it?

But here’s the real question…

Do you or Don’t you support Local Disabled Veteran Owned Business?

This coming Monday, Veterans Day, there is a FREE Paper Shredding Event taking place in the Fry’s parking lot from 6am to 7pm.

On that very same day, we will be open from 10am to 5pm but charging for the exact same service.

[Here are the details on my Drop Off Paper Shredding Service.]

The difference…

>> I’m a Local Disabled Veteran Business;

>> A multi-billion dollar corporation is doing it for FREE.

But here’s the real difference when we boil it down to dollars:

The FREE shredding event is limiting everyone who shows up to 2 boxes of shredding.

Down at my facility, you can come down and watch your documents get shredded for $7.95 per standard file box.

The difference between supporting a Local Disabled Veteran Business on Veterans’ Day and going to get a freebee is a total of $15.90.

Not only that, anyone is free to sign up on my website [click here] to get a free quote and a dollar off per box

That then brings the difference to a mere $13.90 for watching 2 boxes of documents get shredded while you wait.

We’re talking less than $14 to support a Local Veteran Business on Veterans’ Day.

Also, in honor of Veterans’ Day, I’ll donate $1 for each box brought in this Monday, to Wounded Warrior Homes.

Not only that, I also match dollar for dollar every donation made into the Wounded Warrior Homes donation jar sitting in our shop.

I typically don’t publicly rail against these FREE Shredding Events and the immeasurable harm they do to the paper shredding industry, but this one really got my goat because it is being done on Veterans’ Day. And to be honest, I’ve really had enough. I’ll be blogging about the craziness of these FREE events soon.

Granted, FREE is FREE, and I’m sure there will be a long enough line at this event no matter what my argument may be, how much I charge, or how much I donate to charity. This country currently seems to thrive on trying to get something for nothing.

Hopefully you decide to help local business and charity at a price that is truly a bargain.

See you Monday.

P.S. You may be thinking that you also have some e-waste to get rid of and you don’t want to make two separate stops… The great news is that we also have free e-waste drop-off at our facility plus we shred computer hard drives while you wait.

P.S.S. Don’t forget, I’m donating $1 to Wounded Warrior Homes for every box brought in for document shredding!
